We are the charity foundation ‘Ukraine First’ from Kyiv which is the heart of our country.
We actively cooperate with many other foundations and charitable organisations but we would like to highlight our cooperation with the British Charitable Foundation ‘The Eneida Foundation’. For two years now we have been working shoulder to shoulder every month helping people who have lost their homes, jobs and have been forced to move to other regions of Ukraine where there is no ongoing hostilities. Together with our partners, we provided assistance to the people of Kherson after they had been liberated from occupation and in the wake of the flood which was caused by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
Our foundation also takes care of orphanages. In particular, the Nizhyn Orphanage where more than a hundred children with various disabilities are brought up. Every visit to them is a tough trial for me, as it is almost impossible to hold back tears when I see these charming children who are brimming with talents but who need constant care.We are engaging all those who are not indifferent, both among foundations as well as organisations and individuals to help. The feeling of joy and support that we are able to give these children is extremely important, because they desperately need it.
Since the full-scale invasion we have helped internally displaced people in 14 communities from Poltava, Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kropyvnytskyi and other cities. We are constantly increasing the amount of assistance and looking for new partners. Unfortunately, the number of people in need of support is growing, and it is getting more and more difficult to find people who care.
I appeal to all foundations, charities, donors and people who are not indifferent: please join in and do not remain passive.
A lot of people are in a difficult situation, and the more of them we support, the stronger our country will be! People need to feel that they are not alone on their own, that they are being cared for. Unity and mutual assistance are the only way to our common victory! All the best to everyone!
