This material focuses on 3 cities - Bar, in the Vinnytsia region, Hadiach and Pyriatyn, in the Poltava region.
These are only 3 cities in particular among others in Ukraine where a full-scale war has been going on since 24.02.2022. Millions of people have become displaced, their lives have been destroyed through daily attacks by Russian missiles, drones, artillery, mortar shelling, assault rifle and machine gun fire. Some of them live in the hope that the war will end soon and they will return home. Others will never return home because their homes and identities have already been destroyed by Russian aggression.
From the very first days of the war the UMAS team has been helping both with the evacuation while providing assistance to evacuees on the ground. These are different families, from different frontline or temporarily occupied territories. The war has deprived them of everything.
That is why our team, supported by international and local partners helps them with food and other basic necessities. Namely, families in need of children's hygiene products, food, stationery, sweets, and items for entertainment and development are supplied. We organise themed parties for these children preparing tasty and healthy gifts to bring them the joyful experiences of childhood that they deserve, overshadowing the air raid alarms and explosions.
During the 929 days of war we did not merely help people. We have become a big family where we do not leave each other in trouble. Most of our volunteers are refugees who have found the strength and courage to help others. These are really determined people who despite personal difficulties help people.
Within our large family there are people with bright souls and strong spirits. These are our benefactors, large groups of individuals who help thousands of people in their time of grief, even though they do not personally know them. Thanks to the trust of The Eneida Foundation team, we have been able to support the displaced people with food and sweets for children every month. Thanks to your trust and the hard work of each volunteer, we have helped 12500 families during our cooperation. For some people, these are just a number but for each recipient, it is a real support and an opportunity to survive.
Over time, most other foundations and organisations have stopped providing support in these regions.
The war continues unabated, and we are grateful to each of you who is helping the people of Ukraine! Thanks to each of you, people in Ukraine know that they are not alone in the world.
