in the first days of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. It works in communities in the western part of the Khmelnytsky region.
The volunteers formed a small team and focused on helping the Ukrainian military and families fleeing shelling in the frontline regions. More than 500 families from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Kherson, Zaporizhia and Sumy regions have applied to the KALYNA Foundation for help in the three years of its activity. Most of these families are mothers with children or retirees.
At the beginning of the invasion, the KALYNA Foundation received a lot of humanitarian aid from abroad, and the volunteers immediately distributed all the goods to the IDPs. Today, the situation is quite different, and the NGO representatives are looking for partners and ways to attract humanitarian aid in order to continue assisting IDPs.
The KALYNA Foundation's current activities focus on military aid and support for women with children in difficult circumstances, among other important areas.
In the autumn of 2023, we began cooperation with the ENEIDA Foundation.
By joining a large family of the ENEIDA partners, the KALINA Foundation team has been able to provide quality and systematic support to the families in need.
More than 500 food kits have been distributed over six months of our cooperation.
The products and goodies provided by ENEIDA are a significant support to the IDPs with many children, families with children of fallen heroes, pensioners and women raising children alone.
We would like to express our gratitude to Mrs Maryna Melnyk for her kindness and care, and to Oleh Felshan for his efficient organisation of all processes and prompt responses to requests.
Such partnerships are highly valued in the present reality. The team of the KALYNA Foundation keeps working for victory and scaling up good deeds.
